F.A.Q.

What type of project may I bring to class?  We allow most any style of chair but more complicated pieces may require more than one class to complete.  We encourage new students to bring small projects so they are not over challenged.

Do I need to know how to sew?  No, we will teach you how to use an industrial sewing machine to complete your project.

 What is your refund/cancellation policy?  Cancellations less than 5 days prior to class are subject to payment in full.  If a student cancels prior to the 5-day deadline s/he may transfer their registration fee in full to a future class, pending seat availability. Registration fees are non-refundable, and make-up classes are not offered.

What materials do I need to bring to class?

  • Furniture
  • Upholstery Fabric (typically needed by the 2nd week of class)
  • 10’ – 12’ retractable tape measure
  • Sharp 8” – 12” cutting scissors
  • Seam Ripper
  • Pliers
  • Notepad
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Black Sharpie
  • Closed-Toe Shoes
  • Camera (optional)
  • Snug fitting gloves (optional)
  • Safety glasses (optional)

Are make-up classes offered?  No, due to class limitations, make-up classes are not offered.

Do you offer private classes?  No, private classes are not offered at this time.

Do you refinish or paint furniture?  We are able to offer limited refinishing services, but we do not offer painting services.  We are happy to provide referrals upon request though.

Do you offer discounts or payment plans?  We offer currently enrolled students a 20% discount on fabric purchases.  Payment plans are not available at this time.

Do you offer automotive or marine upholstery services?  No, not at this time.

Do you offer bilingual classes?  Yes.

Do you sell fabric?  Yes, we have a variety of special order fabric available for purchase.  Feel free to stop by the shop if you would like to peruse our array of sample books.

Do you offer slipcover classes?  Not at this time.
